1: Application

  1. Make sure to log on to BYU's Route Y system to make sure your contact information is correct and current. If you do not have a BYU NetID, you will need to create one before submitting an application.
  2. Select all sessions for which you would like to work and place them in your job basket. This way you will only need to submit one application. If you go back and add sessions later, you will be required to go through the application again.
  3. The e-mail address on your application/NetID account should be kept current and one you check consistently. This is very important, as e-mail is our main form of communication with applicants.

2: Interview

  1. You only need one interview for each position (Coordinator, BC, Counselor) you apply for.
  2. Select an interview location near you.
  3. Interview changes must be made prior to the day of the scheduled interview. If you are having difficulty making changes to your scheduled interview, please contact the EFY office.
  4. Make sure to bring your scriptures to the interview and come dressed for a job interview.
  5. Most interviews last one hour.
  6. There may be multiple applicants with you in your interview (group interview).

3: Fill Out Hiring Documents

  1. You must have all of your hiring paperwork completed correctly and turned in to the EFY Office in order to begin working.
  2. Further tips can be found here.

4: Accepting/Declining Session Contracts

  1. Accept or decline any contract(s) given to you as soon as you can.
  2. Please be aware if you have declined a contract within one week of the session start date, your future employment with EFY may be negatively affected. Please contact our office as soon as possible regarding any extenuating circumstances.
  3. Any other questions concerning contracts should also be directed to the EFY office.
