Especially for Youth Programs has set aside limited funds to help qualified applicants who are in financial need to attend EFY. Awards are based on an assessment of financial need and availability of funds. Financial aid is only a PARTIAL scholarship. This is so we can help as many youth as possible.
Financial aid is only for EFY Overnight sessions and cannot be applied to EFY Stay-at-Home sessions (no exceptions). NOTE: No applicant will receive EFY financial aid more than two times.
2018 EFY Financial Aid applications will be available starting November 1, 2017 for EFY 2018 sessions and closed on February 2, 2018. All those seeking financial aid must fill out an application. Notification of financial aid decisions will be made as soon as possible, pending a prompt response from your bishop or branch president.
To apply for financial aid for more than one child, you must fill out a separate application for EACH child.
All sections of the application must be completed before it can be processed.
Any applicant who is not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints should please contact our office at 801-422-3817, ext. 3, and we will help in the application process.
NOTE: A completed financial aid application does not reserve a spot in an EFY session, nor does the offer or acceptance of an award guarantee a spot in any EFY session.
If you have questions about the financial aid process that were not answered above, please look below. If you do not find the answer, please call our office at 801-422-3817, ext. 3.
If you are awarded financial aid before you register for EFY:
If you are awarded financial aid after you register for EFY:
Your application is incomplete and will not be considered until he completes and submits the response form. To avoid delay in processing your financial aid application, tell your bishop or branch president that an email will be coming to him from the EFY office. Ask him to complete the response form and submit it as soon as possible. Four to six weeks after applying, you can call EFY to check if we have received your bishop’s response.
If you are unable to attend EFY or if your financial circumstances change, please contact our office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so we can give this award to another deserving youth.
The circumstances of the applicant determine how much will be awarded. We cannot say how much is typically given because each applicant’s situation is unique.
If a ward, branch, or stake is interested in helping a youth from your organization attend an Overnight or Stay-at-Home session, please have your ecclesiastical leader contact Jenna Hamilton-Sellers at 801-422-3817, ext. 2.
