Other items

  • Water bottle: It is important to stay hydrated!
  • Personal toiletry items: sunscreen, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, etc.
  • Personal medications such as prescriptions, cough drops, etc.
  • Spending money: Youth who choose to participate in Wednesday pizza night will need $3–$5. A small amount of money may be needed for snacks, incidentals, and emergencies.
  • Scriptures, For the Strength of Youth pamphlet, journal (if desired), and a pen or pencil. You will be given an EFY cinch pack to carry these personal items.
  • Snacks: Dinner is served at 4:30 p.m. It is followed by energetic activities, so the youth may get hungry later. They can bring snacks or buy them during free time.
  • Linens and towels are needed for some sessions. Your session information page will have these details. Visit the Available Sessions page and click on your session's name.
  • Variety Show materials (for those who participate), i.e., costumes, accompaniment, musical instruments, etc. Please be aware that EFY cannot be responsible for lost or damaged instruments.

We strongly discourage participants from bringing iPods, laptops, tablets, gaming systems, and other devices. We cannot guarantee the security of these items, and participants have little free time in which to use them. In-line skates, skateboards, hoverboards, and other athletic equipment are not allowed.

  • Label your luggage to avoid confusion and mix-ups.
  • Double-check your packing list to make sure you have everything you need.

Mailing/Delivery of Letters or Packages

We recommend not sending letters or packages to participants. If essential medications or items are forgotten, please contact the session site office and make arrangements with the staff. (If your youth is attending a Provo session, please call the main EFY office.)  For birthdays or other special occasions, consider putting a note or surprise in your youth’s suitcase instead of sending a package or card. Delivering personal mail and nonessential, nonemergency items uses the valuable time and resources of our staff and can disrupt the EFY schedule. We appreciate your cooperation.
